Fees & Funding
At Journal of Omni Materials, we are committed to making high-quality, open-access publishing accessible to all researchers. In order to cover the costs associated with article processing, we charge an Article Processing Charge (APC) for each accepted manuscript. However, we understand that financial constraints can be a barrier for many students, and we offer flexible fee waivers to support their participation in academic publishing.
Article Processing Charge (APC)
-
Standard APC:
-
₹ 20,000 (For Institutions inside India)
-
€ 250 (For Institutions outside India)
-
This fee is payable once your manuscript is accepted for publication. It helps cover the costs of peer review, editing, formatting, and hosting the article online in an open-access format.
Fee Waivers for Students
We recognize that students, especially those in the early stages of their academic careers, may face financial challenges when it comes to publishing their research. To support these emerging scholars, Journal of Omni Materials offers fee waivers for students based on their individual needs.
-
Eligibility:
Students (both Bachelor's and Master’s) can apply for a fee waiver ranging from 25% to 100% of the APC. -
Application Process:
To apply for a fee waiver, students must submit a proof of need, which could include:-
A letter from your academic advisor or department head explaining your financial situation.
-
A statement from the student explaining why they require a fee waiver (e.g., financial hardship, limited access to funding, etc.).
-
Documentation of any external scholarships or grants, if applicable, that could assist with the publication costs.
We evaluate fee waiver requests on a case-by-case basis and aim to offer support where it’s most needed. You will be informed about the waiver decision after your submission has been reviewed and accepted.
-
Funding Opportunities
In addition to our fee waiver program, students are encouraged to explore alternative funding options for their publication fees. Some potential sources of funding may include:
-
University Research Grants: Many academic institutions offer grants or funds to support student research and publication fees. We recommend that you check with your department or research office for available funding.
-
Research Scholarships: If you are in receipt of any research-focused scholarships, these may be applicable toward APC costs.
-
External Funding Bodies: Some professional organizations, scientific societies, or foundations offer funding for research publications. It’s advisable to explore these funding options early in your research process.
We are committed to providing financial assistance where possible to ensure that all students have the opportunity to publish their work in Journal of Omni Materials.
