Author Guidelines
1. Scope and Submission Eligibility
The Journal of Omni Materials publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed research that contributes to the development of materials science, engineering, and medicine. We particularly encourage submissions from:
-
Bachelor's and Master’s students: We aim to provide a platform for young researchers to share their work.
-
Industry professionals: We welcome case studies and technical reports that highlight real-world applications.
-
Researchers: Authors from academia and industry are invited to submit original research, reviews, and theoretical work.
2. Manuscript Preparation
2.1 General Format
-
Manuscripts must be written in English.
-
Font: Times New Roman, 12-point font, double-spaced.
-
File Format: Submit the manuscript in Microsoft Word (.docx) or PDF format.
-
The manuscript should be structured as follows:
-
Title Page:
The title page should include the title of the manuscript, author names, their institutional affiliations, and the corresponding author’s contact details (name, email address, and phone number). -
Highlights:
A brief section (3-5 bullet points) summarizing the most important findings of your work. This is meant to provide readers with a quick overview of your study. -
Abstract:
Provide a concise summary (150-250 words) that includes the background, objectives, methods, results, and key findings. Avoid citations in the abstract. -
Graphical Abstract:
A visual summary of the research, usually in the form of a figure, chart, or infographic. This should visually represent the primary findings or concept of your research. The graphical abstract should be a single image that complements the text of the abstract. It must be clear, visually appealing, and easy to interpret. Submit the graphical abstract in high resolution (minimum 300 DPI) in formats such as PNG, JPEG, or TIFF. -
Keywords:
List 4-6 keywords that best describe the content of your manuscript. These help readers and databases identify your article. -
Introduction:
This section should provide the background of your research, its purpose, and its significance in the field. Mention existing research and how your work contributes to the current knowledge. -
Materials and Methods:
Describe in detail the materials, equipment, and procedures used in the study, ensuring that another researcher could replicate your work. Include any important techniques and experimental setups. -
Results and Discussion:
Present and analyze your findings. Discuss the data in relation to your objectives and previous work in the field. Provide clear explanations of the trends and patterns observed in the data. -
Conclusion:
Summarize the key findings, implications of the research, and suggest directions for future research or applications. -
References:
Use IEEE citation style for citing sources. Ensure that all references are properly formatted and listed in numerical order as they appear in the text. -
Conflicts of Interest:
Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could affect the objectivity or integrity of their research. This can include financial relationships, employment relationships, or personal interests. -
Acknowledgements:
Mention any individuals or organizations that helped with the research but do not meet the criteria for authorship. This may include funding sources, technical support, or other forms of assistance.
-
2.2 Figures and Tables
-
Figures: Provide high-resolution figures (JPEG/PNG, minimum 300 DPI). Each figure should be labeled with a descriptive caption.
-
Tables: Include tables in an editable format (e.g., Word/Excel), not as images. Tables should be labeled sequentially (e.g., Table 1) and include a clear caption.
-
Figures and tables should be numbered sequentially (e.g., Figure 1, Table 1) and referenced in the text.
-
Ensure that the figure legends and table captions are clear and descriptive.
2.3 Equations and Units
-
For complex equations, use Mathematica or LaTeX for formatting.
-
All measurements should be reported in SI units.
-
Ensure all mathematical symbols, units, and terminology are consistent and standardized.
3. Ethical Considerations
-
Originality: Manuscripts must be original and not under review elsewhere. Plagiarism or self-plagiarism will result in immediate rejection.
-
Ethical Approval: If your research involves human or animal subjects, you must ensure that ethical approval was obtained and clearly state this in the manuscript.
-
Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could affect the objectivity or integrity of the research.
4. Open Access and Copyright
All articles published in Journal of Omni Materials are open access and available for free to readers. Authors retain copyright over their work but agree to grant the journal the right to publish and distribute their article under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
5. Supplementary Materials
Authors may include supplementary materials (such as datasets, additional figures, or multimedia files). Please clearly reference any supplementary materials in the manuscript.
